Bare walls, boring paint colors, furniture you don't really like, stained carpet, unfinished projects. I get it, after I got married I lived in two apartments two log cabins, and 4 homes we owned and a rental house before my husband and I could afford our dream house. I spent so many hours of my life painting walls and scrubbing floors to make my home look more attractive. I discovered something in the process. Painting the walls in a house makes it look new, and adding beautiful paintings and or prints to the walls attracts people to look up from the dingy carpets and half baked furniture to admire your home.
I want to bring affordable beauty into your home to help you to make it a showcase, no matter what level your interior design is at, at this point. I have curated some very interesting decorating techniques in my Day in the Life of an Artist page that will help you create the home of your dreams, just by changing the way you approach decorating.
Take a look, and see if I can help, and let's make our personal spaces not only a place that friends can admire, but a place that you can come home to put your feet up with a cup of coffee, a cookie or your favorite drink and be able to find a place of relaxation and peace, a place of beauty that you honestly enjoy being in!
My interest in setting up a website to sell my artwork came about as the result of the passion that I have had for art and interior design since I was a child. My kindergarten teacher told my Mom that I was drawing and coloring flowers on people's hats and buttons on their coats during art. That statement seemed to indicate that I had a future as an artist. I have a large collection of interior design books and magazines, and books about the master painters, Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Sisley and Pissarro. These artists have always inspired me, as well as many others. An inspiration for a painting can happen anywhere from something that I see, or from the endless patterns found in nature. I am always on the lookout for ideas for my paintings, and I love to experiment with paint and brush to see what exciting things will happen. Faith in God, as well as encouragement from family and friends, along with a passionate pursuit have brought me to the place that I am at today.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
